Social Venture Partners Arizona (SVPAZ) has selected Read Better Be Better as one of 20 local nonprofits to participate in a “Fast Pitch” event to compete for $50,000+ in funding from SVPAZ, in addition to thousands more raised during the event by community leaders, business executives and philanthropists interested in investing in the nonprofits. RBBB was selected through a highly competitive process as one of the semifinalists to participate in a two-month training and mentoring program to sharpen our social impact and business plan, and to train to succinctly and powerfully “pitch our passion.”
Nonprofits that advance to the final phase of the competition will use the training to compete; On March 1st, eight finalists will take the stage in front of over 500 local funders at Scottsdale Center for the Arts to answer a critical, complex and highly entertaining question: How can you change the world in three minutes?
