Pathway to Civic Leadership
Our Pathway to Civic Leadership program, part of our Changemaker Continuum, is a transformative journey for students. It equips them with the tools and resources to recognize their potential as changemakers and leaders, guided by the Flinn Foundation’s comprehensive guidebook. Students work together to identify significant issues within their schools—such as school safety, resource accessibility, or peer engagement—and develop actionable solutions. They then present these proposals to school decision-makers, gaining confidence in their ability to lead and influence systemic change. These experiences not only amplify student voices but also demonstrate how structured leadership opportunities can create lasting community impact.
In this program, students have the opportunity to:
- Hear from local leaders
- Engage in discussions about current issues
- Learn how to take a stance on topics they believe in
- Cultivate a culture of empathy, collaboration, and social responsibility
- Embrace their roles as civic leaders
- Drive positive change in their communities and beyond
