We measure student progress in multiple ways and the results are in: our third graders are working on their reading skills and improving!
Key highlights from our 2018-2019 impact evaluation:
On average, RBBB students outperform their non-participating peers by more than 20% on standardized comprehension tests (Dibels DAZE).
- 89% of 3rd graders agree or strongly agree that they are getting better at reading than before participating in RBBB
- 77% of 3rd graders agree or strongly agree that they understand what they read better than they could before participating in RBBB, and 82% agree or strongly agree that reading is easier now
- 96% of the middle schoolers self-report they have what it takes to be a good leader after participating in RBBB
- 100% of parents reported that their 3rd grader understands what they read better than they did before participating in RBBB
