Our Program

Read Better Be Better’s mission is to help children improve their literacy skills and become better learners. Our program has impacted the lives of over 5,500 children, families, and educators in and around the Phoenix area.

RBBB understands that students may not be participating in after school programs in the traditional sense, and has created this program with that in mind—with options ranging from simply getting a kit to enrolling in our full 6-week program.

Families with a 2nd-4th grade student and a middle or high school student will work through our curriculum: reading stories, writing their thoughts, and spending time together away from screens.

Get Materials: Pick Up a Kit!

Read Better Be Better’s Family Literacy Kits have all of the materials needed to do our program: a curriculum guide in English and Spanish, books, a pencil and sharpener, and sticky notes.

You can pick up a Kit at the locations listed on the map, please contact each site for more info.  If you are unable to pick up a kit, you can download the curriculum guide using the buttons below.

Get Trained: Participate in a Free Webinar!

Live webinars are available for families that want to learn more about our program or have questions. You can sign up for a webinar using the button below. Training videos in both English and Spanish are also available below for families that are unable to attend a webinar.

If internet accessibility is a barrier for participation, please email hannah.beard@readbetterbebetter.org and we can make accommodations.

Get Support: Meet with an RBBB Site Leader!

Site Leaders are employees of RBBB who check in with caregivers on a weekly basis – they can help with any questions, concerns, or technical issues that you may have! These check ins are at a time chosen by the caregiver and are entirely over the phone.

Site Leaders are a great resource for families who want more support in their students’ learning and reading comprehension. If you would like to be paired with a Site Leader, sign up using the consent form linked below.
